DDP LED Characteristics
Color
LEDs are highly monochromatic, emitting light in a narrow frequency range. The specific color of a light emitted is a function of the LED substrate material and is measured by peak wavelength (Àpk) in nanometers (nm).
Intensity
LED luminous intensity (Iv) is measured in millicandela (mcd). Luminous intensity is directly proportional to the forward current (If) flowing though the LED. The higher the current, the higher the intensity. In addition, the LED chip material and optical configuration contribute to the overall brightness of the DDP® LED.
Voltage
DDP® LEDs are designed to operate at various supply voltages depending on the internal series resistor. If necessary, a protection diode of bridge rectifier can be added for high voltage A/C or bi-polar operation. In addition to the standard voltages listed, DDP® LEDs can be designed for virtually any source voltage of circuit.
