Ferraz - SIRCO Heavy Duty Disconnect Switches from 30 to 1200 amp
DEFINITION AND FUNCTION The SIRCO is a multipolar manually operated disconnect switch. It is based on the most up-to-date disconnect switch technology available. Designed around North American standard UL98 it gives you a product that "makes and breaks" power circuits on load. The switch line is tested and approved for use in the most stringent application such as "Service Entrance".

WELDED CONTACT PROTECTION In case of welded contacts due to an overload or short circuit, the switch will not reach the OFF position unless contacts are truly open. PRODUCTS FEATURES A COMPLETE RANGE OF HANDLES The SIRCO series offers a full line of NEMA/IP rated handles. Nema/IP rating 1.3R, 12, 4 and 4X. All external handles are available in two colors (black and red/yellow). Handles offer the user the largest selection of options in operating the switch: Standard configuration: ON/OFF (2 positions) Test configuration ON/OFF/TEST (3 positions) Test configuration is available, for switches up to 200 A FAST AND SAFE COMMISIONING The TEST facility enables testing of the control circuit auxiliaries without switching the main contacts. This function provides a serious technical and commercial alternative to a separately wired push button. PADLOCKING Handles can be padlocked in the OFF position with up to 3 padlocks. Meets OSHA requirement for lockout/tagout procedures For safety reasons, the door can not be opened when the handle is padlocked. DOOR INTERLOCK IN POSITION ON The handles allow opening of door in the OFF position only. In the ON position the door can not be opened. This interlocking can however be bypassed by authorized persons (defeater option on handle) for maintenance, testing or commisioning. DEFEATER The defeat function allows qualified personal to by-pass the door interlock when the switch is in the ON position by means of a tool. This exclusive design is also available in a 4 and 4X rating.
