Oil resistant Reed Sensor with Ex approval according to EEx m II T6

Characteristics

MK8 are magnetically operated Reed proximity switches supplied with oil resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface.  Approximation resp. removal of the magnet determines the closing or opening of the Reed Switch.  The magnetic pull-in / drop-out sensitivity is divided into six AT ranges.

  e.g. pneumatic or hydraulic actuator position indications and end travel limit switch
• Impulse or revolution sensing
  e.g. for all kind of meters
• Petrochemical applications
  Ex approved, usable in every location and hazardous areas
• Cold-resistant
  fitted with a  rubber-sheathed cable the sensor is suitable for se at -40^o C and in outdoor applications

Dimensions

Tolerance +/- 0.10mm (0.004 inch)

Termination

The standard termination is an up to -40° C cold-resistant rubber-sheathed cable with a cross section of 2 x 0.75mm². The standard length of the cable is 500mm, other lengths can be supplied on request. The required length has to be stated in the part number.
The cable end can be supplied with the following connection styles (please note after the length in the part number).

W		Cable end cut, dismantled on 30 mm, cores stripped and tinned 5mm(0.2inch)
X		Individual crimped terminals
Y		Individual, fully insulated spade terminals, 6.3 x 0.8mm
