Magnetically operated Reed Sensor in cylindrical form with M8 thread-hole
Characteristics
MK7 sensors are magnetically operated Reed proximity switches in a cylindrical form with an M* x .75 thread and connecting cable or coupler. The sensor can be screwed directly into a work piece or mounted using a nut. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface. The Reed Sensor and the magnet must be fixed in a definite distance to each other. The magnetic pull-in / drop-out sensitivity is divided into five AT ranges. A choice of switches, termination options and cable lengths is offered. The MK7 series is compatible with several inductive and magnetic proximity sensors due to the availability of the socket option.
ApplicationsPosition- and limit switch, e.g. pneumatic or hydraulic actuator position indication and end travel limit switch
Door and window contacts for security system applications
Level sensor, use with magnetic floats for water level detection in e.g. washing-machines, coffee makers, dish-washers
Position sensor, e.g. elevators, conveyors, sliding doors

Termination
The standard termination is a two- or three-wire UL-approved round cable with a cross section of 0.14mm². The standard length of the cable is 500mm, other lengths can be supplied on request. The required length has to be stated in the part number.
The cable end can be supplied with the following connection styles (please note after the length in the part number).
